Anna's "Miracle Man"

 
Early in 1999 Anna Kingsley sent a letter to the British HDA newsletter.  (Click here to read it). She was then just 11 years old but already showed she had been provided with an insight to the harder points of life.

Anna's mother wrote an irresistible song called "Miracle Man". This has been professionally recorded, by Anna, with the help of Ricky Wilde at his Select Sound studios. The backing tracks have been provided by her classmates from school.

Anna's voice is gorgeous and she is determined that the song should become available to everyone to "raise millions" for the Huntington's Disease Association Research Programme. This will hopefully be achieved as Anna wants Huntington's to have the copyright.

The Huntington's Disease Association has produced a limited number of CD's which they are promoting to various radio stations to try and achieve air play. It will just take a couple of radio stations playing the song or a television programme doing a live interview to make people aware of its existence.

The song was released on Monday 11th October 1999, to tie in with the start of the UK's Huntington's Disease Association Awareness Week. A week that is used solely to try and promote awareness of the illness.

Since the above was written the CD has been sent out to radio stations and various television programmes in a attempt to attract publicity and gain airplay so that a record company will be alerted to Anna's talent. Currently the CD has been given airplay on a couple of smaller stations and feelers have been put out to ex-Spice Girl Gerri Halliwell's agent to see if she would sing with Anna.

The CD was also sent to Michael Barrymore who has asked Anna to attend auditions for his show "Barrymore" at the end of June. So with a little bit of luck we could be seeing Anna on a future show.
