I have had the pleasure of meeting Brenda personally twice, the last time was in 1993 when did a tour of England. Luckily I managed to see a couple of the shows in this tour.

The first was a Solid Gold show featuring a number of British & American stars of the 1950/60's. Brenda naturally headlined the show. It was a great trip down memory lane and I would have enjoyed it even without Brenda. But she was the icing on the cake and as usual gave a wonderful performance even though she was feeling ill that night.

The show ended with all the acts singing the last song together. Brenda, who was standing next to Marty Wilde (6 foot 3 inches tall) ran off stage to get a box to stand on. The audience loved this.

One little act  that impressed everyone was the way Brenda handed the microphone to the supporting acts. It was the act of a real star to let lesser acts share her limelight.

Brenda sang all her old hits and I realize the audience want this. However it seems a pity she did not devote more time to her later recordings like "Broken Trust" or "A Sweeter Love"  I'm sure Brenda's "Feels So Right" would be a show stopper.
